Service and campus participation

Philanthropy

Beta Delta’s philanthropy work includes its signature ZBT Tahiti event, support for Rutgers University Dance Marathon and service completed throughout the year.

Why We Participate

Service has to be more than a line on a résumé

Philanthropy gives the chapter a reason to organize around something beyond itself. The work includes fundraising, coordinating with other organizations, promoting an event and making sure participants have a positive experience.

Those responsibilities are valuable because they require follow-through. A successful event depends on brothers who communicate, handle logistics and stay involved before and after the day itself.

ZBT Tahiti 2026

Alpha Gamma Delta takes the championship

Tahiti brought together two Zeta Tau Alpha teams, two Alpha Gamma Delta teams and teams representing Phi Mu, Delta Gamma and Alpha Chi Omega. Across competitions and banner presentations, each organization helped create a day that felt competitive, welcoming and connected to the wider Rutgers community.

Alpha Gamma Delta earned the 2026 championship, while the participation of all seven teams made the event meaningful well beyond the final result.

Rutgers University Dance Marathon

More than $10,000 raised for RUDM

RUDM is one of the most visible service traditions at Rutgers. Beta Delta’s involvement gives brothers a way to participate in a campus-wide effort while contributing to a cause that reaches families beyond the university.

The chapter has raised more than $10,000 for RUDM. The number matters, but so does the process behind it: brothers asking for support, attending events and staying engaged with a larger Rutgers initiative.

Consistency beyond the major events

Beta Delta recorded the highest chapter service hours in 2025. That recognition reflects many smaller contributions accumulated across the year.
